소슬금은 한국 전통 문양처럼 서로 맞물려 조화를 이루며 전체가 완성되는 공간입니다. 작가와의 관계, 관객과의 관계 역시 어우러지는 관계이며, 결코 누군가가 우위에 있어서는 안 되는 구조를 지향합니다. 예술의 본질적 가치는 우리가 소유하는 공산품보다 상위 개념이라 생각합니다.
뿌리내린 관행보다는, 서로가 어우러질 수 있는 문화를 만드는 것을 모토로 삼고 있습니다. 작가나 관객께서 소슬금의 그림이 되어 주시는 것만으로도 충분히 감사하며, 그런 마음으로 운영하고자 합니다.

The motto is to create a culture where each other can harmonize rather than the practice currently rooted in small and medium-sized galleries. I want to be an operator who is satisfied with just being a picture of a gallery by an artist or audience.
