‘차경’은 사물이 가진 고유한 의미가 빛과 반사를 통과하며 다른 형태로 다시 정의되는 과정을 다룬 작업이다.
스테인리스와 아크릴이라는 재료는 현실의 표면을 비추는 동시에 또 다른 공간을 열어주며, 관객은 그 경계에서 새로운 시각과 깊이를 경험하게 된다.
작가는 반사를 하나의 효과로 소비하지 않고, 세계가 스스로를 빌려와 재구성하는 과정으로 해석하며, 존재가 고정되지 않고 시선과 맥락에 따라 끊임없이 변모한다는 사실을 드러낸다.
그래서 ‘차경’은 단순한 풍경의 차용을 넘어, 바라보는 이의 관점까지도 다시 되비추는 하나의 사유적 장치로 확장된다.

‘Chagyeong’ explores the moment in which an object’s inherent meaning is altered as it passes through light and reflection.
Stainless steel and acrylic not only mirror the surface of reality but also open another spatial layer, allowing the viewer to encounter new perspectives and depth within that boundary.
The artist treats reflection not as a visual effect but as a process through which the world borrows and reconstructs itself, revealing that existence is never fixed but continually shaped by gaze and context.
In this way, ‘Chagyeong’ extends beyond the borrowing of scenery and becomes a contemplative device that reflects the viewer’s own perspective in return.
